Great food, super nice service ... ?

Very pleasant interior with plenty of space to chat comfortably. The service was extremely polite and courteous. The restaurant has pretty good handmade cheese spaetzle and a pretty tasty Kaiserschmarrn on offer. Anyone looking for good German cuisine should take a look at the Rose restaurant.

If I didn't have to wait an hour for food, it would have been 5 stars. The food was very good and a lot and inexpensive!

Onion roast (left) ordered rarely, received as a shoe sole, the waitress says, yes, then I'm just sorry. Great. Even my companion's medium steak was less cooked.

Good middle-class inn with a good kitchen. The menu is not huge, but there is something for vegans too. There are also a few dishes that are not on the menu, but are written on a strip of chalk all around. We were very satisfied with the friendly service and the delicious, large portions. There is a star deduction because it is not that cozy due to the size of the restaurant, but this means that all hygiene guidelines can currently be adhered to. Price performance is really balanced here, we'll be back.

Our experience at Gasthof Rose was literally catastrophic from start to finish. Once and never again. We got food poisoning after eating.

Main dishes were great! For dessert the apfelküchle, this was really delicious! However, the apfelstrüdel was really bad. I guess it came out of a microwave because of the hot soaky pastry..

I met this beautiful place thanks to a friend! The location is fantastic, Tony the owner manages the restaurant in a splendid way, the kitchen always lives up to expectations, congratulations to the cook, well-kept outdoor area adjacent to the historic center of Kaufbeuren, excellent quality draft beer with various types of choice, affordable prices and very balanced with the quality of the raw materials used in the preparation of Germanic dishes that every time leave me speechless! Always very good waiter and available in everything the customer needs. Overall: great !!!!!!

Inn with a beautifully located beer garden. The menu offers regional dishes at reasonable prices. The food was very tasty. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. All in all a good overall package, the Gasthof Rose is definitely to be recommended!

Outrageous boss, after I had to wait 1 hour for my currywurst, which never came and I didn't want it anymore, the boss warned me that I didn't know my way around gastronomy ... My companions had roast pork that came before my girlfriend's salad ..... very strange .... service was nice ... AND the three of us were overwhelmed with just 30 guests .... never more !! !!!!!

The best schnitzel I've ever eaten (!!) and also very well prepared side dishes. Definitely worth a visit and I will definitely come back again.

Very cozy restaurant with a nice beer garden at the monastery. Very friendly staff and excellent food! I can only recommend.

I've never felt so fooled while eating ... Asparagus soup was okay ... Pork fillet with cheese spaetzle ... Cheese spaetzle was okay ... Pork fillet was fried dead and not pink ... In addition there was a sauce ... in which the pork fillet wanted to be drowned ... (sauce was not declared on the card) in the sauce was mustard (which should be recorded under allergens) .... Pity !

Excellent food but you need a translator if you can't read German! Surely an English menu wouldn't be too difficult (or English speaking staff)? I know it sounds lazy but I have visited many areas of Germany and this is the first time I have hit the language barrier because Germans make the effort and learn English (yes, I am ashamed that we dont learn German)!

We ate here very well the salad dressing was excellent. The fries were crispy and the portions large. The Schitzel well fried and the beer brewer's pan with the spaetzle was also delicious. Side dishes could be chosen extra. Waiting time was okay the service friendly. Gladly again!

Nice ambience in the city. Food was good and fresh. I was missing salt but that can be fixed quickly. The staff was nice, even if a bit under stress during our visit because a tour group was there. We'd love to come back

Tasty meal and good beer, but unfortunately terrible table service. Waiting ~15 minutes each time before waiter notices an empty glass. Yet he passes our table several times. He serves tables with locals well. I believe he just does not like tourists, even though we speak German. Cannot recommend to tourists, sorry.

We stopped for a beer outside and decided to stay for dinner. Our waiter was awesome! He helped me decide what entree to choose and answered all our questions. Food was phenomenal and atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. This place is a jewel that you will want to try.
